Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15

Notes On Leviticus
C. H. Mackintosh (1820-1896)
Was an Irish preacher, Bible expositor, and author active in the Irish Revival of 1859-1860. For some forty years he edited the monthly magazine, Things New and Old. His first tract, in 1843, was "The Peace of God," and his last, shortly before his death in 1896, was "The God of Peace."

He was a man of mild and gracious spirit and breathed an atmosphere of deep devotion. Mackintosh is perhaps best known for his work, Notes on the Pentateuch, of which Notes on Leviticus is a portion. D. L. Moody is reported to have said that if all the books in the entire world were to be burnt, he would be satisfied to have just one copy of the Bible and a set of C. H. Mackintosh's Notes on the Pentateuch.
